if you don't already know, i am at gordon college in Mass, near boston. what that really means is that I am about 1,000 away from home. and what that really means is Kate needs a lot of Jesus.
this is a different season in my life. i don't exactly know when it started. but i would like to call this season :: restoration number 2
recently has been a time of difficulties and struggles on every front. but the Lord has given me joy instead of despair, has taken my mourning and turned it into dancing (jer 31.13). i am loving the rest and satisfaction of his presence and i am seeking more and more of our beautiful God. the trials have thrown me at His feet, and i find that i like it here. this is where i want to stay. this is where i want to be. he is restoring me to the joy of my salvation (ps 51)
for the second time, because this process of restoration began at the Honor Academy. funny that the lessons i thought i learned really only comprised the preface to the chapter book called life.
my hope is that this humble blog will be a place that the springs of Living Water poured on me may overflow onto the ones that i love, and that He loves even more (john 4.14). In Him may you never thirst again. be blessed and seek the Lord. He is good and loves you faithfully.
